Chock full of beat goodness, Chocolate Industries brings us the new sweetness w/Chicago phenom Diverse. And while Diverse is but one man, the line up of guests reads like a who's who of hip-hop's elite. Jean Grae, Lyrics Born & Vast Aire provide emcee support, while RJD2, Madlib & Prefuse 73 take the production to an eclectic level. The well thought selection of support provides Diverse with the depth & diversity needed to assert “One A.M.” atop the game.
To put “One A.M.” in simple yet visual terms, it is like an old Chicago skyline. At times it spins like a longplay on your grandma's hi-fi, while carrying an underlining need to get to the club. There are elements which only locals will appreciate, while setting up beats for even the most casual hip-hop fan.
High points for “One A.M.” are found w/in the jazz fueled, Prefuse 73 produced "Ain't Right" & "Under The Hammer" which is punctuated by a strong vocal appearance by Jean Grae.
